Our Story

2001

Hans and Peter met and became friends whilst studying at the University of California, Berkeley.
2012

Back in Hong Kong, Peter approached Hans with an idea on how to use technology to solve an annoyance he was facing at restaurants. He hated having to decide what to eat. They decided that together, they would solve this problem.

 

Aigens was born.

 

The Co-founders rented a small space in industrial district Fo Tan, Hong Kong.

2013

Aigens became the first-ever kiosk to be compatible with Octopus payment on Android. We launched E-menu, and Mobile Order & Pay and piloted these new technologies with various restaurants.
2015

First big win. Maxim’s Group, one of the largest F&B groups in Hong Kong, became a client.
2018

Burger King Singapore became our first entry to the international market.Soon after, we won over clients in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand. Set up regional offices in all these regions.

That same year, Aigens became the first in the market to launch delivery integration with FoodPanda and Deliveroo.

2019

With 50 staff, Aigens outgrew Fo Tan. We moved to San Po Kong.  Aigens introduced QR Ordering to Singapore and Malaysia.
2021

Welcomed onboard the largest group in APAC, Jollibee Food Group.
2022

With rapid growth, the Aigens HQ outgrew San Po Kong and moved to a 8,000 sqf office in Kwun Tong. 120 staff across 6 regional offices. 

 

Closed Series A funding backed by a list of notable investors. 

Restaurant outlet count reached 4,000.
