Legal & Compliance Executive

Aigens is a hotel and restaurant tech start-up that has helped steer the digital revolution of the F&B and Hospitality industry in Asia Pacific. In the last three years, we’ve experienced our most significant growth to date: resulting in 6 regional offices across APAC, and 120 team members (and increasing every month). We are headquartered in Hong Kong, with offices in Bangkok, Jakarta, and Kuala Lumpur. We serve more than 500 brands in F&B and Hospitality, including global names like Accor, Hyatt, Centara, KFC, Burger King, Starbucks, etc..

Catering to Aigens’ business growth and regional expansion opportunities, we are looking for a highly motivated, organized self-starter to join our Customer Success Management team. You will be one of the key influencers to shape the customer experience of our key customers. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate and work together with some of the best and brightest talents in the F&B Tech industry, furthering your career within one of the most influential F&B tech start-up companies in Hong Kong.

What your daily work will looks like:

  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including services agreements, statement of work, reseller and partnership agreements, non-disclosure agreements
  • Keep abreast of updated laws and regulations and advise on the updated internal procedures and provide training
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to follow up on business projects
  • Perform reviews on clients’ and vendors’ acceptance
  • Establish, enhance, monitor and perform compliance guidelines and controls over the Company’s operations and business activities
  • Identify risk areas and major potential risks of non-compliance, and make recommendation for remedial measure, control improvement and risk mitigation
  • Provide training across the business to embed policies and maintain the strong compliance culture
  • Assist in corporate governance functions and internal control procedures
  • Work closely with Business Units, Operations and Finance as well as external lawyers, auditors and relevant professional parties
  • Provide support on special / ad-hoc projects

We are looking for someone with:

  • Relevant professional qualification with 3-5 years’ experience in commercial settings
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills to work with different stakeholders effectively
  • Reliable with high integrity and responsibility and strong commercial sense
  • Mature, self-motivated, independent and strong attention to details and able to meet deadlines
  • Responsible, trustworthy with positive attitude and a good team player
  • Proficiency in MS office application and Chinese Word Processing
  • Sound understanding of the laws of Hong Kong and the legal system, knowledge in other APAC locations is a plus
  • Experience in technology / F&B industry is an advantage
  • Experience and knowledge in AML/KYC is an advantage
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese and Mandarin;
  • Immediate available is preferred
